About Moles
Moles are small, burrowing mammals that live underground and create networks of tunnels in lawns and gardens. You might not see moles directly, but their presence is obvious from the raised tunnel ridges and dirt mounds (molehills) they leave across your yard. Moles primarily eat insects and grubs, not plants or roots; however, their tunneling can uproot grass and make the ground uneven. DIY mole remedies often fall short, because moles are elusive and won't be caught by typical rodent traps. A1 Bugman offers professional mole control – we can safely trap moles or use specialized baits to remove them. We also advise on reducing grub populations (the mole's food source) to discourage future moles.
Signs of Moles Infestation
Raised ridges (surface tunnels) in lawn, conical dirt mounds (molehills), damaged plant roots, soft/spongy areas in yard, damaged grass that pulls up easily.
Treatment Methods
We use professional-grade traps placed in active tunnels and specialized baits when appropriate. We also provide grub control recommendations since grubs are a primary food source for moles.
Prevention Tips
Reduce watering (which brings worms and grubs closer to surface), apply grub control to reduce food sources, install underground barriers around garden beds, remove excess thatch from lawn.
